Parade Banners NYC

parade

Parades originate from the times of Mesopotamia. First, they were held in the politics and military branches. Later, they spread into religion. Nowadays, parades are mostly associated with different carnivals, fairs, and festivals. In the USA and in New York City in particular, there is a range of parades dedicated to holidays, events, and people. This essay demonstrates that all parades in New York are always held on the highest level with a great number of participants, who are attracted to these events due to the parade banners.
There are nearly 12 parades, which take place at 5th Avenue in New York every year (“New York parades,” n.d.).

Some of them are: St. Patrick’s Day Parade, Greek Independence Day Parade, Gay Pride Week March, Veterans Day Parade, and others. St. Patrick’s Day Parade always occurs on March, 17th and is dedicated to the Irish national holiday – St. Patrick’s Day. Each participant of the parade wears green clothes and has clover, a symbol of this fest, painted on his/her face or arms, printed on clothes, or worn as an item of jewelry or costume. The Saint Patrick’s Day Parade has been a New York tradition since 1766 (“New York parades,” n.d.). Another great event in New York City is Greek Independence Day Parade. This parade is usually held in April; it commemorates the Greek Declaration of Independence, which was signed and proclaimed on March 25, 1821. For citizens of New York, it is a holiday of Hellenes and their Hellenic identity, their cultural and national achievements. In New York, this fest is celebrated annually since 1938, and it has already become a traditional event of the city. One of the most extraordinary parades is Gay Pride Week March. It usually takes place in June and has thousands of participants, both people of non-traditional sexual orientation and ordinary people who want to support the LGBT community. This parade is not a very old tradition; however, it becomes more and more popular every year. The Gay Pride Week March is a great opportunity for gays to show other people that they are the same individuals as others, and that they are worth of respect and having equal rights as the other people do.

All of these parades are well known all over the world and attract numerous tourists from different corners of the Earth. It often seems that they are so celebrated that they do not even need any advertising. Undoubtedly, this point of view is incorrect. The more advertisement is used on the eve of a parade, the more people will attend this event. It could be a newspaper or magazine advertisement, the Internet, TV or radio announcement, a leaflet or anything else. In my opinion, the most effective and important type of publicity is banners. Their efficiency consists in the ability to influence people’s subconscious and the state of mind. When a person sees a big picture with vivid colors and happy faces, he or she wants to participate in the parade for sure. Therefore, the Parade and Custom Vinyl banners, which are used the most in New York, are so important. Moreover, one cannot ignore the fact that AllstateBanners.com is located in New York. In light of this fact, it is obvious that New York parade organizers are in a great advantage than the other cities.

In conclusion, New York Parades are always of excellent quality with interesting bright celebrations and numerous participants. All organizers thoroughly prepare for parades and create original and eccentric banners to attract visitors.
